To embed Vimeo Clips and adjust the size
- go to the clip on Vimeo
- click on the <embed> button
- in the layer that appears click on customise embed options
- use the options available to configure the video
- copy the code that appears at the top of the layer into the clipboard
- in WordPress click on the HTML tab in the editor
- paste the code in
- the video will appear as below
HTML mode can be tricky in WordPress – the best solution is to use the WYSIWYG editor to format the rest of the text first, leave a space for the video to appear, then after saving the rest of the page, copy the embed code into the space you set aside for the clip.
YouTube clips are easily done - you paste the URL (note the httpv://)
