- How do I book Spelmann for an event?
It's incredibly easy. Simply get in contact by filling out our enquiry booking form on the contact page. It would be helpful if you have some basic information ready such as the date or possible dates required, geographical location, approx guest numbers, what type of performance option you'd like and the type of event, such as a private party, corporate event, gala event etc. We will respond to your enquiry as soon as possible.
We then suggest how best to utilise Spelmann's performance to maximum effect and give you a quotation. If you are happy with everything we can pencil the date, effectively holding the date for a period of time discussed with you. It's important to know that at very busy times of the year we may only be able to hold a particular date for a short period of time.
If you decide to go ahead with the booking, we finalise the booking details and make sure everything is to your requirements. Then a contract will be sent out to you which needs to be signed & returned, once the contract is received by us the booking process complete. A few days before the event a courtesy email will be sent to make sure everything is in place.

How much does it cost to book Spelmann?
Fees and prices are provided upon request as there are so many deciding factors, such as the type of performance or performances required, the location of the venue, international bookings & the duration of the performance. It is therefore much easier to quote on each individual engagement separately. Spelmann's fees are very competitive but they do also represent almost 20 years of experience as a full time professional, his extensive client base, originality, expertise and level of service.
Are there any restrictions or requirements?
Spelmann's close up mix and mingle performances are totally self contained and could almost be performed in a telephone box. The only factor that can prohibit a close up performance is excessive noise levels such as a band or DJ, people cannot hear and Spelmann thinks shouting is rude and annoying. However if the music is more background ambient then Spelmann is happy to perform. All he needs from you is an assortment of guests.
Spelmann's one man parlour performance requires a little space, enough for 5 or 6 people to stand with Spelmann as he performs. For guest numbers over 50 people a raised platform will be required. We will send more detailed information if you choose the parlour performance option but rest assured it really isn't that complicated.
Spelmann's cabaret stage show 'The Unexpected' is typically for larger events although he can perform for smaller events and or audiences. The show requires a stage or raised platform, PA (amplified sound) system and basic lighting. Most venues have these already or can provide these for their clients upon request. We will send Spelmann's performance rider and technical requirements for his stage show if you choose this type of performance. It is all quite simple but enables Spelmann to deliver an outstanding performance for his clients.
Spelmann does not perform at children's parties due to them simply not understanding him, heavy metal concerts due to the noise levels or in telephone boxes due to impatient people wanting to use the phone.
Why choose Spelmann for my event?
Spelmann has performed for almost 20 years as a full time professional. He has travelled across the globe to entertain people from all walks of life. He is not only a showman but also an innovator & creator within his genre, he performs the impossible and he creates it to, making him one of the most original performers in the UK. But don't take our word for it, take a look at the reviews page and read what Jack Nicholson, Hugh Grant, Bob Geldof & David Cameron thought of Spelmann. Obviously there are some wonderful performers out there but be warned, there are more bad ones than good. Our advice is to see some footage at the very least, that way you can see if they are suitable and indeed as good as they say they are.
Are Spelmann's performances safe?
Spelmann's performances are totally safe, the only thing you may experience is an overwhelming urge to applaud or gasp at what he achieves. He does not use hypnosis and every member of Spelmann's audience will be treated with the upmost respect. He does not under any circumstances reveal any sensitive information at all, it is all quite innocent and fun.
